Just arrived, nine days after ordering it.

Plays really really sweet out of the box, just had to tune it and google the setup of the array of controls at my disposal. Haven't had to touch action or the neck.

Can't believe I've just paid around £320 for this total gem. I'm a passive bass player, and as such I'm not well read or rehearsed on active electronics but I have to say the ability to sweep the mids and control the level too is a cool feature when the active is engaged.

Can't really say much more than has already been said by others. Another satisfied customer.

Sire need to produce a P bass. That's one I would be buying too.

Lovely looking bass there. I was very tempted to go for the burst when I bought my Sire but went for black, I'm dark like that :)

If Sire produce a P bass I'm in real trouble as I'm skint  :)

Congratulations , such great basses with brilliant preamps. The low B's are superb too. Hope they will do Precisions with a jazz neck :)

Very nice looking - Of course the most important question on a Five string - What's the B like?

The B is good. No issues at all, very playable and excellent value for money.
Im well pleased.

I might actually sell one of my VM's to fund these...

Any chance you've tried a VM Jazz? Just was hoping someone could compare the two for me!

Sorry i cant help you here. Never played the VM.

I had a great VM 4 string, but I'd still choose a Sire tenfold over a VM, the preamp is certainly worth it for the change alone :)
