Number6
Hi BC, We all know that Tokai do a full range of instruments from entry level to top range Made in Japan high quality. For some time i've wanted a Thunderbird and i would like to go for a Tokai (can't afford a Gibbo) but clearly the quality of Epiphone has improved greatly in recent times. Is there any BC'er out there able to help me with a bit of a Tokai / Epi TB comparison please? 6 Edited October 24, 2015 by Number6
Woodinblack
If you are prepared to put up with gibson quality, you won't have any trouble with epiphone or tokai!
RhysP
I've owned a few Tokai's (guitars, not basses) & the quality has always been excellent. The mid 80s Tokai Telecaster I had was one of the best guitars I've ever played & I currently have a newer (Korean or Chinese) Tokai 335 copy that is a superb guitar. I would personally say that the build & finish quality is easily the equal of any new Gibson I've played, and it's definitely much higher quality than the Gibson Les Paul I used to have, which was one of the biggest piles of sh*t I've ever owned.
