Twigman Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Bass hardware is all made of cheese...well maybe not the hardware itself but the screws that fix everything together - they're all made of cheese: Bridge screws - gorgonzola Pickup screws - boursault Tuner fixing screws - camembert Saddle height screws - brie Pickguard screws - livarot Anyone know any suppliers that make appropriate screws that aren't made of cheese? Grangur Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I've been buying screws from WD Music in Kent. They seem ok, good service too. I feel your pain though. The head of many screws are simply far too small. Quote
Twigman Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Just having an under lubricated, slightly on the small side pilot hole, can't find the right screwdriver kind of a day. Not a good day in the Twigman bass assembly plant. Quote
Chienmortbb Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) I get all my screws from TR Fastenings you have to buy 100 min but when I bought 100 M3 x 6MM machine screws they charged me £1. The same as many places charge for 10 screws. Of course they are about a mile from my house but they have branches all over. If not them look for Fastener Suppliers in your locale.
