The Admiral
I was watching the Foo Fighters doc 'Back and Forth' last night, and thinking it would be good fun to be in a Foo's tribute ( despite the fact there already is a very successful one - Foo Fighters UK), as they have some great material, and it's pretty straightforward stuff. Plus you get to play some nice P basses! The trouble is of course, whilst I could easily manage the gingery-ness of Nate Mendel, I'm too old and frankly too well upholstered to carry it off. Then... brainwave : why not have a Foo's tribute full of overweight/old blokes, and we could go out as the Fat Fighters - " the same, but heavier......". This of course then led to a train of thought about overweight/old bloke tribute bands. I know there is someone on here who plays in a funk band, made up of somewhat larger chaps, who use the frankly genius "Above Average Weight Band". Any more? Mykesbass
With the exception of Robert Smith you don't tend to find many overweight Goths, so Lards Of The New Church would be particularly niche.

So far I've got Dave Gross, Taylor Porkins and Fat Smear - there's also Chris Chips-eat, and Cake Mendel. Needs some work though I think.
