Afternoon all,

So for a while now I've had anSKB bass safe and I'm quite happy with it. My gigbag however is in need of replacing. Having read a few of the "what gigbag" threads, I've got a few in mind. My main problem though is I'm not sure which ones fit inside a bass safe. Having seen one in a shop near me, I'm pretty certain one of the mono ones (the one with the massive rubber sole one the bottom) won't fit as it was massive. I know I could just buy the same as the one I have, but I'd rather invest in a decent one for once.

So basically, if anyone owns/uses a bass safe what gigbag do you use?

Cheers,

James

I've heard that you can get a mono M80 in a bass safe but you just can't put anything into the pocket at the front. Why don't take your bass safe to the shop and try it? doesn't need to be your bass inside the case just something that will fill it to test with?

I squeeze my Mono M80 into a bass safe.
I had to remove the foam from inside the bass safe and I can't use the outside pocket.
Even then it takes some effort to pull the latches closed.
I'd love a 1" shorter M80.

Try the Protec Contego Bass Case, i don't know the dimentions of a Bass Safe but my basses fit on the Contego without much free space. Thoman has the dimentions listed:

You could try SKB's own offering. It's a bit lacklustre perhaps, but it looks solid enough, and it does fit.

Surprise, surprise:)
When I opened my Bass Safe for the first time in years to take pics for a sale, I discovered a Fender gig bag inside I totally forgot about........

It fits perfectly!
