chrisanthony1211
What combo would you get, regardless of cost, but which gives best power to weight ratio so you can haul it around to gig and rehersal, and obviously a great sounding rig too! CamdenRob
As with all of these "best gear" threads this will inevitably turn into a list of people suggesting their own rig.. So I shall be the first... Not a combo but my Glockenklang Blue Soul head and Bergantino CN210 gives me clean clear power loud enough to fill a room over a rock drummer and packs up small enough to strap to a trolly and take on the bus. With my current amplification needs I wouldn't change it given an infinite budget. ... now if transporting it around was no object that would be another thing... Full fat Glock BAC and 6x10. Roland Rock
If money was no object, I'd get the Glockenklang Heart Rock II and Glockenklang 6 Box 6x10 Heavy and bulky, but who cares! Then, when my back caves in, I'll swap it back to my current rig (Avalon U5>Crest CA9*>Barefaced Super Twin) *heavy but easily shiftable Edited October 26, 2015 by Roland Rock
chrisanthony1211
We tend to compromise because we can't afford what we really want, this is not about what you've got, but what you'd have if money was really no object! I have stumbled across the glockenklang combos on my travels around the web, the blue sky and blue soul, not quite sure what the difference is, but they look pretty great, and have a hefty price tag to match! EBS_freak
I'd be going Meyer!
JTUK
Not sure I would..I've used the P.A's, I'd start at the pre amp first but assuming money is no object then neither would time be, so I'd be demo'ing a whole load of stuff over a period. I wouldn't have a combo either... and I'd have my own crew/tech team ...
bassace
I'd get a Merc Sprinter and a guy with a strong back. Then I'd make my choice.
chris_b
If I had unlimited funds I'd buy what I use at the moment. I haven't played anything that beats my current gear. On the other hand, I'm sitting here waiting for a call from the garage to say my car has failed its MOT and is a write-off, so I'd spend all my cash on another estate. Skybone
Does it have to be a combo? Surely, if money were no object, something valve-driven & hand made would be high on the shopping list. Also of course, you would have the resources to try out pretty much any rig ever made.
Beer of the Bass
If money was no object I'd use something low powered and valvey, perhaps an old B15 or something from a small builder in that style. The "money no object" bit would be in having good enough sound guys and PA to work with the moderate stage volume.
JapanAxe
Money no object? I wouldn't get a combo! In fact see my signature. (Sorry, can't find a 'smug git' emoticon.)
Phil Starr
I'd start off by looking at the AER combos I love the sound of the AER Amp One when I've heard it live.

Lozz196
I`d commission Aguilar to make a combo especially for me alone - a Tonehammer 500 210 or 212 combo rather appeals.
danbowskill
Vintage ampeg head with a berg 6x10
machinehead
Any of the AER combos, amp one, two or three. I have an AER amp two and it's stunning. Even so, I'm tempted to change to an amp three just out of curiosity. Frank.

chrisanthony1211
Now that's a combo! And a bargain at a mere £ 1,714.61pence........ Edited October 27, 2015 by chrisanthony1211
Qlank
My Genz Benz gear is the best I've played through. I think it would be a bit rude not to get a bunch of the Genzler cabs and upcoming amps.
colgraff
If money no object, I would pay Vanderkley to make a ultra powerful combo and then I would have two of them so I could do the twin amp thing.
Naetharu
For me I'd get Matamp to make me a nice custom 200-watt valve head and 810 cab...then I would hire a team of rodies to carry it around for me
fretmeister
Depends on volume requirements. My little "combo" is a Tecamp Puma 300 with a Barefaced One-10 cab. But then again I play with an orchestra and with woodwind ensembles. I've not tried one, but if I wanted something bigger then I'd be trying out the Tecamp 2x12 combo. Ghost_Bass
My MK1 Promethean combo has been making me a happy bunny for some time and definetly cured my combo GAS but if i had the money (and the back to carry it) i would probably get an AER combo.
