Nicko
Did anyone see this. I though the songs were absolute pish, but that bass player was playing some lovely lines. It reminded me a bit of the Blockheads bass. Apparently the bass on the record was by Yaron Stavi. I've never hear of him before and don't know if it was him on the prog. Anyone else catch this? Cosmo Valdemar
If it was his recent appearance I'm pretty sure it was Guy Pratt...

He had a really good sund and the lines played were very Norman Watt Roy. I thought it was excellent.

Cosmo Valdemar
Gilmour gave him the sunburst stack-knob. Betsy used to belong to John Entwistle and now wears EMGs.
rogerstodge
I'm sure I see Mr Pratt stand in for Norman Watt-Roy, maybe his playing has rubbed off on him?

Funky Dunky
Guy is a monster player, absolutely tremendous bassist. Played on Madge's 'Like A Prayer'. Listen to the bass on that song - it's quite superb.
spectoremg
Like A Prayer sounds like a synth bass?
Funky Dunky
Patrick Leonard, who produced the track, said in a Billboard interview that Guy Pratt was the bassist.
ezbass
There is quite a long section in GP's book that talks about the session. He is using an octaver and channeling Pino, especially in the outro.
