Twigman
We're looking at an 8 date tour of the west coast of USA in March. We need P1 visas. there are 5 of us. We know a I-129 petition needs filing to USCIS before we apply for our P1 visas. We plan on taking our own sound engineer. I read on the musicians union website that crew need a seperate petition applying for. If that's the case then I suspect either the tour won't be econimically viable as via an agency like Tamzidat that would add at least $1825 to the upfront costs or we'll have to leave him behind. - That would be a shame as he is a founder member of the band and we really need someone who knows us to be FOH behind the desk - so many 'in house' soundmen get it so wrong. We'll be playing 8 500ish capacity venues. Anyone been on a tour like this and understand the protocol for sound men? Number6
Surely the soundman could take a holiday to the very same locations at the same time as the band.....and just volunteer to assist with FOH sound on the night 😉 Edited October 30, 2015 by Number6
