TrevorR Posted Friday at 00:29 Posted Friday at 00:29 At the other end of the venue scale, just back from seeing Carrie Martin and Tomorrow Bird at Runnymede Folk Club. Fabulous evening of music! 1 Quote
howdenspur Posted Friday at 00:36 Posted Friday at 00:36 Still recovering from a "double header"...well almost. Saw John Shuttleworth at The Ropery Hall on Sunday - well observed humour, very funny and then, by way of contrast, Transatlantic Sessions at York Barbican last night. Fantastic evening, quite mesmerising. Featured, among others, London Wainwright III and Julie Fowlis. 3 Quote

Wainwright and Fowlis is quite the guest vocalist pairing. Quote
cybertect Posted Sunday at 22:44 Posted Sunday at 22:44 Friday evening, after a few months' absence, Robbie McIntosh returned to my favourite local venue, The Sound Lounge, in Sutton, south London. Superb as always \ Quote
TrevorR Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Transatlantic Sessions at the Royal Festival Hall last night. Great evening of Celtic and Americana music. It featured the absolute cream of Celtic and Americana musicians sharing one stage - including guest vocalists Julie Fowlis and Loudon Wainwright III... just stunning!!! 3 Quote

Superb as always \ Those are great photos! I am tempted to go along to Sutton, just to see if the musicians are as good-looking in real life... 1 Quote
Sean Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I went to see Marisa and the Moths at their first headline show at The Frog & Fiddle in Cheltenham. Never seen 'em before, I was taken along with some friends. What a show! I had seen Marisa singing a coupe of songs with Sophie Lloyd in Cardiff before Xmas. The bass player in M&tM is fab, does a solo acoustic guitar song as has such a strong gravelly country voice. https://www.marisaandthemoths.com/ Quote
