Merton Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Level 42 on Friday at the IndigO2. Taking MiniMert and MrsMert too, for educational purposes. I know their drum tech (he’s in two of my bands) and he’s very kindly arranged guest passes for us 2 Quote
nekomatic Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Well I hope it’s not the next thing I’ll see live, but we’ve just booked for Aldous Harding at the Albert Hall Manchester in April… Quote

Peloquin Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I've just got myself a ticket to see The Ruts. I'm not really a fan but TV Smith of The Adverts (Gary Gilmore's Eyes) is supporting. Its worth the £22.50 just to see him, he's great live. Real old school punk played on an acoustic. Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Saw Band of Friends last week. Bass player Gerry McAvoy is one of my heroes and probably the biggest influence on my blues-rock playing style. He was listing places he'd played in Wales with Rory Gallagher and I shouted out that I saw them in Aberystwyth on my 19th birthday. Then this happened! 8 Quote

SteveXFR Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 This year is starting to look good already. Starting with Frome punk festival with Discharge headlining and excellent local legends Far Cue it'll be a good one. Next will be Dub Pistols, also in Frome for a bit of solid dub. After that is Oi punks from Isle Of Wight, Grade 2 in Bristol. Then in summer is ArcTangent festival near Cheddar in Somerset with an awesome lineup including DeafHeavan, Russian Circles, Pigs x7, Converge and loads of other great doom, post metal and prog metal bands.
