No Robert Plant... put back a week and moved to another venue due to RAAC at St David's hall.

A week before the performance they suddenly realise more tickets than seats. Cancel all tickets (to be refunded in 15 days) and limit people to rebooking no more than two tickets.

We were two in a party of four booked by someone else.

In the end none of us could be bothered to try and get tickets.

K-Pop

Korea on Stage at Wembley Arena

The K-Pop bands performing haven't featured in the hit parade, yet the fans at Wembley Arena seemed to know every word. Even to the songs in Korean.

K-Pop's here to stay.

You heard it here first! 😆

So the next band is now the Fortunate Sons featuring @Gottastopbuyinggear of this parish.

We’re not so precious - the more people you bring the better 😊

Looking forward to it, as always.  We may even have a couple of new songs since you last saw us - whether we can remember the endings or not is a different matter!

Fingers crossed it will be The Pretenders, dependent on ticket availability of course, they`re touring early next year.

Edit - Ticket now bought.

Next one for me is British Lion in January at Leo's Red Lion in Gravesend.

I saw them there a couple of years ago, and it was quite something being within touching distance of one of my favourite bass players!

Simply Dan (Steely Dan tribute) in Wokingham next Friday then Extreme/Living Colour at the Kentish Town Forum in early December.

Not often I post here, but going through an embarrassment of riches this month bass-wise:

last week at the Pizza Express Jazz: Janek Gwizdala

tonight at the Barbican: Hiromi with Hadrien Feraud in the band

the weekend: Michael League and Bill Laurance at the QEH (also got Goose the same night, suspect quite handy but unknown-to-me bassist)

later in the month: Stick Men/Tu-Ner in Prague with Tony Levin, Markus Reuter and Trey Gunn

Next one I have booked is Botch in March, I'm hoping to see Greg Puciato a couple of weeks before too, just need to sort out if I'm going to the London or Brighton date

The above was as amazing as expected, and also featured the David Cross Band doing all of Larks Tongues in Aspic, which was quite special.

The encore was everyone on stage for Starless and 21st Century Schizoid Man 🤩

Tomorrow: further excitement with Extreme and Living Colour

Saw The Twang in Manchester over weekend.  Very good sound with their bass player sporting his usual Gibson recording bass through an SVT and 410HLF

Months away, but yesterday I bought tickets for Discharge.

Never thought I'd see them live. Should be a good night out with old mates and hopefully lots of good people.
