However, the venue  has managed to secure The ELO Experience to plat again so we’ll be going to be seeing them instead - can’t wait! Seen them before and they put on a great show. They’re very good. So clouds and silver linings etc. The only shame is that, I understand, that our very own @casapeteis no longer holding down the bottom end for them.

Hope you enjoy the band Trevor. I departed a couple of months ago, but my replacement Tom

is a fabulous player so they should be on top form.
Played Hampton Pool with them a couple of times and always a good night, just hope the

weather is kind! Cheers, Pete.

Local math-rockers Dutch Uncles at St Mary’s Church in Stockport next Friday night.

Interesting venue for it. I wonder if there’ll be a bar?

An absolutely stunning gig. A guy called Chris Severin on a 7 string Schecter bass, sounded very meaty thru a Sadowsky (I think) head and aguilar 8 × 10. Mike Clark was a marvel

Seeing James tonight supporting Band of Friends*. He's mad as a box of frogs 🙂

Planning to see him gigging with Norman Watt-Roy on bass in the near future.

I must get to see these guys

They are incredible. I first saw them at Colne - my main reason for going. I was terrified they would be meh, as I'd be judging them against seeing Gerry with Rory Gallagher back in 1981 on my 19th birthday! I also desperately wanted my SO to enjoy it. Last night she said the Coline gig was 'probably the best I've ever been to' and she's seen even more bands than me.

Auger at The Angel in Nottingham on Friday.

My band would have been supporting them at this gig and again the following day in Leeds but our synth player is away on holiday with his family.

Good to know

I'm lucky enough/old enough to have seen Rory 3 times, 1st was in 74 when I'd just turned 15.

I shall be in Bexhill on Sea this evening watching Curtis Stigers at the Del La Warr Pavilion. Part of the Rye Jazz and Blues Festival.
