cetera Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 This Friday night the debut gig by 'Big Horizon' at Pizza Express, Holborn, London. Gig is SOLD OUT in advance because Big Horizon is basically the guys in Jeff Lynne's ELO (without Jeff)! I'm looking forward to seeing bassist Lee Pomeroy do his stuff! 3 Quote

gt4ever Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Really excited to see the amazingly talented English Teacher again. I’ve seen them in tiny venues and had good chats with them before and after gigs but now they’ve blown up a bit and playing larger venues it’ll be a bit different. Quote

Very 70s West Coast pop, Yacht Rock vibe to it and they were clearly enjoying - as was I! Nice intimate venue and great sound. Iain Hornal has a great voice and Lee Pomeroy’s playing as ever a delight… even if watching his lefty, upside down strung bass mangles my brain. 1 Quote

NewMilleniumCyanideDice Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Busy next week for me. I'm off to see Sylosis on Tuesday and Pitchshifter on Wednesday in Manchester. High hopes for Sylosis, they've been the discovery of the year for me, and looking for that pure 90s rock nostalgia hit from the 'Shifter. Quote
BigRedX Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Hopefully on 2nd December Vision Video at The Bodega in Nottingham. It looks as though the gig is still going ahead despite having parted ways with their synth player recently. Quote
