The "of course there is a reserve but I am not going to tell you what it is" really puts me off buying any instrument, start it for the minimum you want for it, if people are prepared to pay it it will sell, if you price it too high it won't, I don't see the need for a covert reserve price

Agree - this has always p!ssed me off. However, despite what he says, it looks like a no-reserve auction from where I'm sitting.
