CalDeep Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Is the 5 knob still available? Also do you have the knobs to go with it? Cal
fleabag Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) Yup, its available. Dont know why i didnt post it with the knobs attached. Must have had a mental breakdown. I didn't get any knobs with mine, because when i went to John's, he was out of stock ( and still is i think ) of the U-Retro Deluxe Flat Response preamps with knobs, so i bought it ( maybe the last one ? ) without knobs and then supplied my own. I had single stack knobs here but bought the 2 weird stacked knobs for the push pull pots Edited November 5, 2015 by fleabag

fleabag Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Hi fella. I'm based Oxfordshire but will post free
Hellzero Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Could be interested, but I wish to know the difference between the standard version and this flat response one ? And don't tell me it's the EQ voicing unless you can give it to me. ;-)
fleabag Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) There are two versions, the original with a slight low and high end pre-shaper built in, and a flat response unit, where the controls are set in their most neutral setting, there will be no coloration, or difference in response, when switching between active and passive. The pre-shape unit gives a slight lift and fatness when switched in, whereas the flat response type retains the original sound, except that the pickups are buffered by the preamplifier. Edited December 5, 2015 by fleabag
