Cheers. I'll be playing selected shows on the Opeth tour too :)
So it's official then Steve? Good work sir - that must be literally a dream come true!

I'll definitely have to get a ticket for the London show, assuming it hasn't sold out yet.
Well, as I mentioned earlier, there are other instruments in the Stick family that would better suit players like me, who want a more bass-like setup. With 10 or 12 strings, totally changing the setup would not be trivial, though some have done it.
I wanted to develop a Stick style around bass in 4ths, so I use a mirrored 4ths tuning which might be of interest to bass players. I have info on my website, here is an article on the Stick site as well:

While the strings are "upside down" compared to conventional bass, it wasn't as profound of a mental adjustment as I though it would be, and I think the reverse direction greatly helps with chordal and accompaniment possibilities.

One of the best tracks that I have heard with the Chapman Stick on it is a song called "Stick Jam" funnily enough by Steps Ahead. It is Tony Levin playing on the album and is a great track also has Michael Brecker on sax too!

Cheers
