BassMunkee
I would. If I ever got round to it, and if anybody besides my Fiancee and my best mate turned - unless anything else came up, which you never know.. It might be nice to give the machines an airing though... What a legend. As far as I can tell, Jennifer Moore is no longer doing gigs which is a shame - I saw her play once and was very impressed. doctor_of_the_bass
...should'nt boast about this but my claim to fame is that Hodge wants me to give him some lessons in the art of `modern bass techniques' - he lives near here!!! Moody
I went to one of Steve Lawson's solo bass nights in London a while back - it was awesome, my fav moment being when Steve asked the audience "Who plays Bass then?" litterally the entire audience put their hands up! That night I saw Yolanda Charles. Well worth a YouTube/Google - simply sublime!

bassninja
John (or Jon) Lester was great when I saw him at Larmertree a couple of years ago. Solo electric and upright, with decent songs, too.
Matt
Thrones, its Joe Preston on his own with loopers etc. he used a BC Rich Beast bass when i saw him, lots of drones and vocal effects, its doom busking i guess, totally fearless. Bilbo
Percy Jones has done the solo with backing tapes thing. Michael Manring of course. Dave Holland has done 2 cds of solo bass (Emerald Tears and Ones All) but I am not sure if he ever gigged solo. Glen Moore of Oregon fame has done solo gigs and duos with singers. Rob Wasserman has done the duo thing. There's a guy in Newport, S. Wales called Andy Long who is trying to nail this kind of thing but I have only heard one piece that was badly recorded? Jeff Berlin does his Dixie/Imagine/Tears In Heaven set at music fares. Renaud Garcia-Fons?
