I've got two months left in this country, then we start a new life in Calgary, Alberta.

As none of my machines will work out there I've got to sell the bloomin lot.

I'll add to this thread, but to start with here's a couple....

Makita LS1013 sliding compound mitre saw. Current price is nearly £500, I'm after £250
My trusty planer/thicknesser, solid cast iron, not flimsy like Scheppach, 3 knives 200mm width, on castor base, £600
ELU MOF177E industrial rated router £150
Dewalt palm sander £20
Woodster bandsaw 73" blade £150
Linisher machine (or very long belt sander) £150
Axminster dust extractor machine, quite big, 4" hose £75
Rexon large bench standing drill press, 15 speed, big, heavy £75
Skil orbital sander £20
Erbauer Orboital sander £20

Its all gotta go!
Cheers
Ian

Boom, Boom!!
If the missus had her way I'd be selling all my basses! She doesn't understand why I need more than one bass!

Hey, you sound like someone who has made immigration enquiries!!
SW route rather than PNP. They've just sorted the LMO so I just need the TWP.

Always fancied Canada but, with my ticker, I'm staying where there is a National Health Service! If I was in the US, I'd be dead already!

Or bankrupt!

...um, Canada has a National Health Service... it actually doesn't have any private medicine (Alberta are constantly challenging that) - and yeah, it's just a buggered up as ours over here!

I would, but I cannot afford to buy your woodworking skills as well.

Hi Ian,

Good luck with the move abroad, I'm very envious.

How do you go about sanding the inner horns on a Jazz shape body, do you have a power tool for it or do you do it by hand?

Posted

I could actually do with having all those tools for my bass/guitar projects. I can't afford to spend that much on tools though.

Good luck in Canada!

Hi,
I use bobbin sanders and mini-drum sanders (Axminster Power Tools) mounted either in hand drills or my pillar drill
