Hi all,
Well, it is with sadness, but much excitement (read on), that I put my 2015 Fodera Matt Garrison Standard up for sale......as if there's anything 'standard' about it.

There may be some eye rolling surrounding this, however the reason is not due to unhappiness with the instrument, it's stunning and everything I could ask for in a bass!
However, I am expecting my first child in April (that's the exciting bit) and I want to free some cash from this bass in order to start building some more substantial savings.
Ultimately I feel lucky to have owned this, I visited the Fodera factory in New York during its construction with the Fodera family being so welcoming and lovely to us.
It will forever be a benchmark, but at this point in my life, more important things are afoot.

Onto the particulars:

Body:
Walnut body wings
Alder Tone block
Non-solid Madrone Burr Top

Neck:
Madagascar Kingwood Fingerboard
3-pc Hard Rock Maple Neck
Mother-of-Pearl Dot Inlays
28-100 Nickel Strings

Construction:
Neck-Through Construction (same as Elite spec custom models)
Angled headstock (same as custom models)
33" Scale
5 String Configuration (strung E-C, but low B tuning possible with change of nut)
17.5mm string spacing
De-tuner
Straplocks
Fodera Hardcase

Electronics:
Fodera / Pope Custom 3-Band Preamp
Fodera / Duncan Dual Coil Pickups

The Madrone top on mine is stunning, it has quilt, Birdseye, flame, you name it!
The Kingwood (rosewood specie) fingerboard is dark with some subtle figuring.
The three-piece maple neck is rock maple on the sides with a flamed maple centre piece.

I'll also include a Klondyke bass strap and as mentioned, 2 sets of Fodera 28-100 strings

The bass is in mint, as new, condition. It has been gigged, but looked after perfectly!

Please feel free to ask questions, for specific photos etc.
Cash (bank transfer) is king, I will likely replace this at some point after sale with something of lesser value, but I haven't decided what (if at all) that will be.
However, try me on part-ex, you never know.

I am located in Welwyn Garden City or High Wycombe, UK. Obviously seeing/trying the bass will likely be preferable for you, I'm sure we can sort something out. I will ship at your expense, we can discuss that, but would obviously prefer meetup/collection due to the worth of the instrument. Even if you're in France or Belgium for example, it would likely be cheaper/less stress to Eurostar to London for the day to collect.

Many thanks
Sibob (dad to be)

Also struck me that this is a wedge of cash, and those who don't know me might want to see my buying/selling feedback:

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I should point out that I don't HAVE to sell (at this point anyway), there's no gun to my head from Mrs Sibob, far from it. I just feel it's the right thing for me to do at this moment! :)

Many thanks
Si

Hi Si,
by comparing my situation I didn't mean you are forced to sell but probably I came out that way.
I apologize for that.
Anyway GLWTS

No apology necessary :).

A windy Sunday bump

Congrats on the Dad-to-be bit and tbh when your baby arrives, any second thoughts or regrets about parting with the bass will be blown away. It's the BEST thing :)
Anyway, you can't be a proper Dad with a 33" scale necked bass. It has to be 35" with 19mm spacing :D. I jest.
GLWTS but even more good luck with the journey.

Sibob are you sure? It's only my opinion but this is sort of the only bass you need, a bit like bass utopia.
Fatherhood is truly great but you might still need this bass in your life?
Anyway if you don't someone will end up with an epic bass, it really does do it all. Glwts and glwtb (baby) 😊

Bump, potential trades of interest would be a 24 fret 5 string, MM Stingray (vintage preferable or single 'H' version), Peavey T-40....or hit me up with what you've got.
No more than 2k in part-ex worth
