pfretrock
A sobering thought. There are said to be 75 million AK-47s produced since 1948, If you believe Wiki. I think they stiil make them. Thats one every 27 seconds.
yorks5stringer
The Paris attacks notwithstanding, the yanks seem to think it's OK to glorify guns, quoting the US Constitution. That was written back in time when you needed a musket to protect yourself from Grizzly Bears or poachers on your homestead.... Is Commerford with the Band 'Tool'...? Can you imagine it ? Someone from the crowd hears the firing, sees someone with a gun and opens fire, shooting someone else with a gun, who'd only drawn his gun to shoot someone else who'd drawn his gun because he'd seen someone else.................. [/quote] IIRC, they needed the muskets to protect themselves from the British. They didn't have an army so they needed Minutemen (that's militia, not intercontinental ballistic missiles). sharkboy
It's bad timing and bad taste, but it's entirely reflective of his (and his cohorts in RATMs) political views - they have always supported left-wing revolutionary political organisations. AK-47s and balaclavas may not have much to do with bass, but they have a clear connection with Cummerford's music and politics. He's also pimping his latest band Wakrat, so expect more media coverage and publicity shots/comments that'll cause controversy. He's a great bassist, but a bit of a dick. Uniquely in the 'developed' world death rates from violence in the USA are more on a level with those of countries that the likes of Trump would consider uncivilised, lawless and

ras52
Last night's episode of Homeland was horribly prescient, featuring a character plotting a large scale attack in Berlin. One the other hand, ITV pulled a program featuring a gunfight: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34828889
fretmeister
Magazines always get flack for this sort of thing - but the final copy was probably signed off 2 months ago. I remember when Guitarist Magazine was vilified for not mentioning Gary Moore's death - the mag was on the newstands 1 day after the death was announced. There was a huge amount of people who clearly thought the mag hadn't been printed 1 day before arrival in the shops. Tossers.
