adamg67 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) dbx 160A mono 1u rack mount compressor Full details are here: http://dbxpro.com/en/products/160a I bought this based on recommendations on here and elsewhere and it is good, it's a fairly transparent musical compressor. All the features are on the site above, but the things that I think make it good are: - Hard or soft knee compression - Full ratio range from 1:1 through "normal" to infinity, and, as they say, beyond (to -ve compression). - The display - this is the thing I will miss most, the LED display on this makes it so easy to set up. - Gain (as on most) is very handy, I used this to get my Sansamp output up to the level I wanted for my power amp. I had this in the effects loop of my Sansamp, or you can have it before or after a preamp. A quick search on here came up with this: http://basschat.co.u..._hl__dbx%20160a with the 160A getting quite a few mentions (first and last pages). This is another casualty of my MarkBass Multiamp purchase, it's meant to replace everything but I was pretty tempted to keep this. It's less than a year old and in very good condition, it's been safely racked up in the same ABS rack the whole time. Boxed with manual and UK power lead.
