AinsleyWalker Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) At the weekend I tried out the Moog MF Chorus, the Earthquaker Sea Machine 2 and the Nemphasis Bass Chorus. The Moog was my least favourite, as it seemed to get too goofy/weird too quickly. The other two sounded great, very usable, but a bit more expensive. Anyone else have any suggestions for good chorus pedals? EDIT: I ended up going for the MXR Analog Chorus, very versatile and sounds great, the Sea Machine however is still my favourite sounding. 0175westwood29 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I have a chorus styled on an old boss chorus, the brown one, very nice indeed. Made by cog effects But my fave is my moogclusterflux, a very similar chorus to what's in the smaller my chorus. Andy Quote
GazWills Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 worth trying the MXR analog chorus, love mine - it's solid and pretty reasonably priced. sounds like my old boss ce-5. Quote
ColinB Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) If it's any help, I tried a lots of different chorus tone-prints and decided I like flangers better. They seemed to suit bass more than chorus did, but that's just me. Edited November 16, 2015 by ColinB Quote
paul_5 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 EHX Small clone - one of the big ones. Quote
stuckinthepod Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I tried a TC, EHX, Boss and a Dr Tone in Dawsons and decided on the Dr Tone Analogue Chorus. Sounds right on for Duff McKagan GNR chorus tones. Quote
pendingrequests Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Aguilar Chorusarus - just purchased recently and it is a fantastic addition. I like subtle chorus to add a little bit of depth and colour. Worth every penny and really well built. Quote
elephantgrey Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Im currently GASing for a chase bliss warped vinyl. Quote
Guest FretNoMore Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Tech21 Boost Chorus Bass, very versatile and I like the "non-wobbly" detuned sound you get by turning down the modulation. And the Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl, amazing pedal. Edited November 18, 2015 by FretNoMore Quote
brensabre79 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Any, as long as its in bypass mode Quote

ubit Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I'm not a fan of chorus on a bass. I have the Boss pedal, maybe that's why I don't like it, but to be honest I've never heard chorus and thought , ooh, that's nice. I never use my chorus. Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Boss ce5 and ceb3 Mxr black label/ analog chorus ( both the same pedal and allegedly a ce5 clone) Dod stereo bass chorus Edited November 18, 2015 by dudewheresmybass Quote
tonyxtiger Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 +1 on the clusterflux. It beats all the others I've owned. I have a warped vinyl too which is amazing for vibes but the clusterflux still beats it for chorus. Quote
dave_bass5 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Zoom 60B multi effect pedal. It has one or two different flavours so a bit more versatile (for me). I laos have an old Boss Digital Dimension pedal (the lilac one) that i like for bass as it doesnt wobble as much. More a thicken tone. Quote

Bottle Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I like my Boss CEB-3, it has just the right amount of wobble for me Quote
lowerbassment Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Providence Anadime Bass Chorus, versatile and sounds great imo. Quote

such Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 What would you guys recommend as a rather bright. shimmery chorus? I'm more into smooth than any sort of warble. More air than water. The first chorus (first fx pedal in fact) I ever tried, DOD Deep Freeze, is still my favourite sound-wise. I did have two however, and both kept having problems with the footswitch. Now I'm kind of looking for one to have it rehoused, but they go for crazy prices and the rehousing can get expensive too. Anything currently in production that can fit what I'm looking for? Quote
