TheGreek Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Just been watching "Uptown Funk" - Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Marrs - couldn't believe the number of hits on YT : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0 Quote
discreet Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 One-seventh of the world's population, or one-ninth, I lose track... ...it is possible to artificially increase hits, I believe... but it is a popular song, for sure. Quote
leschirons Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 It's just one of those really rare ultra feelgood numbers that everyone wants to hear. Love it or not, it's quite infectious, like "Happy" was. Quote
paul_5 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Gangnam Style has nearly 2.5 billion views. Apparently YouTube had to change their 'views' counter to accommodate this. Who knew? Quote
Cato Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I quite like the song, but having recently gone through a (largely basschat inspired) phase of listening to early-mid 70s funk & soul it does feel a bit like a lightweight remake of the genuine article. Especially the horn section, which seems rather thin by comparison. Quote
You are right - they only had a 32 bit number ( 2,147,483,647 ) for it http://www.koreaboo.com/featured/psy-breaks-youtube-view-counter-gangnam-style/ Quote
