Guest MoJo Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Due to a problem with a stripped out nut on my Peavey Cirrus BXP, I have removed the fretboard and the trussrod. The offending nut has been replaced and the truss rod is ready to go back in. Originally, the two rods that make up the trussrod were bound together with shrinkwrap. This got damaged during the heating process. Is this shrinkwrap necessary or will the truss rod work just as well without it? Quote
ikay Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) I think the shrinkwrap is mainly there to prevent any rattling between the two rods Edited November 22, 2015 by ikay Quote
