Behlmene
and you could only have one bass and one amp................which of them would you choose? Pretend the island has an unlimited electrical power source. I'd take my P-bass and my B30 practice amp .

discreet
My USA 76P and a USA Ampeg SVT CL with USA Ampeg 8X10, no competition! And when I got bored with being alone I could use the 8X10 as a boat and paddle it with the P Bass. And use the SVT as ballast...

discreet
My 62 P, EBS 350HD and a EBS 4x10
Well that's no good, a 4X10 is going to be like a coracle and probably be very unseaworthy. Your amp's too light to use as ballast, and you need a bass paddle with a very thick poly coating to keep it waterproof...
Number6
I appear to have be washed up on a island with a load of music equipment on it. Luckily i brought my wood saw, hammer and wood chisel. Time to start chopping all that old driftwood up and forming it into a raft Hehehe
Ghost_Bass
My prefered gear is TRB5PII with GB Shuttle 9.2 and Barefaced Super12T but considering a desert island and the lack of people to complaint about the noise i would take the rack with Alembic pre and 1kW poweramp instead! (i'm guessing this thread is only about our own gear only or else i would take a pair of Barefaced Big Twins instead )
spongebob
My '74 Ricky 4001, and Fender Rumble 500 amp. Means I'll have enough power to jam if a band eventually gets stranded with me. Where do I plug in?
BILL POSTERS
On a deser island I'd want my 70s Fender 2X15 and my Nanyo BC301.. They sound rubbish together, but the cabs big enough to use as a boat and the Bass Collection is light enough to row with.
gapiro
Bassists are ever the practical lot, no one seems to really care about the actual bass stuff here, just getting back to civilisation!
Low End Bee
An acoustic guitar. Stuck alone on a desert island with an instrument that's only ever fun for me in a group environment would be cruel.

Highfox
Love my P-basses, but it would have to be my Ray so I could try do my Louis Johnson impersenations all day long. Roger2611
A Precision bass and an ampeg SVT2 and 8x10 cab....my thinking is......the sheer volume of the ampeg stack should scare off the locals and bitey animals, the svt would also double as an effective heater on chilly nights and the 8x10 would be the basis of both a small house and an ocean going vessel if need be....the precision is already well renown as a weapon / paddle......they don't call me Bear Griddled for nothing! seashell
Fender P, obvs. I really don't care what amp, but I would like an enormous cab. So it would cast a huge shadow and I could get some shade when the desert sun threatens to burn my pasty skin. It's all solar powered, I assume. :-)
