chaypup
So my RH450 bit the dust and will cost as much to repair as buying one from here so I thought maybe it's time for a change and get a different lightweight bass head. I'll still be using the RS 210 Cab, I'll still be playing Jazz, Soul, Funk & Reggae. What do you recommend?
Lozz196
Those genres shout "warm sounding" to me. I`d look at Markbass, Tecamp, or Aguilar. All do a nice warm sound - Markbass and Tecamp being a nice clean warm sound, Aguilar being more gritty/old-school.
wateroftyne
Buy something with a transformer in it, so if it breaks you can have it repaired. Mesa Walkabout.
chris_b
There are a couple of Aguilar TH500's in the For Sale section. Mine sounds great in all my bands.
Japhet
For warm and beefy I'd go for a Genz Streamliner. Tecamp or a GK Fusion sit nicely in a live mix.
artisan
I've just bought a GK MB800 Fusion & I just love it to bits, very versatile with the best live sound I've ever had. It's got more power than I'll ever need too
fretmeister
Tecamp Puma 500 2.3 lb and awesome tone. It's so good that I'm using it more than my Demeter.
Jazzjames
Aguilar TH500. Loud, sounds good, reliable, cheap (second hand), what's not to like?
