Jebo1
I've been offered an a 64' jazz with some original parts and some replacements. The problem is that in the distant past someone did an awful refin I want to get changed. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions and, without soliciting for business, could give me an outline of potential costs? I want a 60s heavy relic finish as that's what I personally like the best! Grangur
What's the problem? Without pics we can't help much. Edited November 29, 2015 by Grangur
Jebo1
I can't post pictures as the guitar isn't mine (and I don't have pictures of it, it's a personal sale), but it's a 64 with a truly horrendous refinish. It looks like a recent job, but would need to be completely stripped off and refinished. I wanted a proper 60s style nitro finish, and just wanted an outline of what that might cost and what goes into it really, make sense? Truckstop
At least £350 I'd say. Based on me hunting for quotes a year or so ago. Email Mantons (second respondent to this thread), he severely knows his sh*t.
Jebo1
Cheers Truckstop. I was hoping for around that figure, but had no real frame of reference for it.
