LiamPodmore Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Has anyone else noticed that bigger bands are taking longer and longer to actually come out and play these days? At Bring Me The Horizon last week they took 40 minutes from the support ending until their intro started. All they have to do is move some stuff off stage, put a few mic stands and pedalboards out and job done. Smaller gigs we have a 10-15 minute turnaround, why can't they. Liam Quote
bonzodog Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Maybe they are playing a shorter set. People would moan if the band finished early so having a longer break inbetween makes the night seem longer Quote
acidbass Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Yeah I was going to say that maybe they are contracted for 75 minutes or something with a set curfew, so only go on 75 minutes before. Quote

Or is it metalcore? I wouldn't know the difference. Quote

Cameronj279 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Last few gigs I've been to I've been surprised at how little time there was in between bands. To be fair it's been a while since I've saw a "big" band. Quote

blue Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I saw The Stones this summer. Buddy Guy opened for them. They were scheduled to start at 9:00. They started promptly at 9:00. Blue Quote

mike257 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Gigs of that scale have a bit more kit to shift about that your average night at the Dog and Duck, although there's a fair few more hands on deck to do it! There's a lot more happens in terms of making sure everything is ready and working perfectly before the headliners hit the stage though. Quote
