Beer of the Bass
The sounds they chose to demonstrate it with make me suspect that it might not sound that great. Most of the audio is with high gain distorted sounds, the only moments of clean or lightly overdriven sounds are really brief and always staccato playing, they don't let you hear the notes ringing out and it seems sort of plunky sounding. Yes, it sounds like a strat, but does it sound like a good strat? It's kind of cool as a concept and I'm sure it'll spend most of its life as a wallhanger. HowieBass
The fact they could sand contours and drive screws and frets into it suggests that there's a fair bit of strength in the material which means they must have used some glue/resin to stabilise the whole thing. I suppose it then starts to resemble some kind of woven composite.
MacDaddy
Bah! Woefully lacking in the properties of tone cardboard. No discussion of the differences in sustain properties between C flute and double wall. Do you get better mid response from R flute? If you're not taking this seriously you shouldn't bother
cytania
Might be good for a Pulp tribute act!
