Paul S Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Just listed on eBay, in that odd mauve colour. discreet Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 That is amazing. A very early big plate. Me want! I will watch with interest. Thanks for posting. Quote
CamdenRob Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 ah man why are these always refins... Still on the look out for an all original Quote
Mykesbass Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015
ah man why are these always refins... Still on the look out for an all original
Same reason people used to rip out coving and fireplaces in Victorian houses - they thought new and shiny trumped discoloured and crazed! Hindsight eh! Quote
Paul S Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Finished a whisker under £243. Was the lucky bidder one of us? Quote
discreet Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Not me, unfortunately. I forgot all about it. D'oh! Quote

But now I'm skint due to Limelight! D'oh again! Presumably 243 quid wasn't enough... Edit: you can see it's an early one because of the hole in the headstock which would originally have been for a Hayman perspex logo. The later Hayman necks were used for early Shergold basses and the logo hole covered with the Shergold shield logo. Edited January 3, 2016 by discreet Quote
Paul S Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 I wondered if that might be the case. Bad timing again. My old one had the same thing - an ex-Hayman neck. Quote
