Not necessarily - the non-export models with the scratchplate came in medium scale, too. I have one, which also varies by having J/J pickups. But, yes, they are very nice basses.

What is the neck profile like, (width at nut and depth from fretboard to back of neck). Just trying to figure out if it's slim or chunky profile, any information would be great.

It's 34" scale and the neck has a jazz profile.
Forgot to mention the Jazz pickup has been replaced with a higher output one!
