Jonnyboy Rotten
I quite like it - Can't fathom why on earth he decided to leave the Stagg badge on it, much less, relocate it to near the pots. Kinda ruins the magic....
discreet
The word springing to mind is 'Contraption'.
SICbass
The original Steely Dan perhaps?
Roger2611
A bit of a "Heath Robinson" if I remember the term right!
Happy Jack
You are SO not going to play this sitting down. I have to say that I love the over-sized cogs on the tuners ... that's an idea with some mileage in it.
pete.young
You are SO not going to play this sitting down.
Play it? I would just hang it on the wall as a piece of modern art. It probably sounds like sh*t anyway with those strings and pickups.
Mykesbass
It takes a lot of hard work to make a Stagg worse that it originally was - hats off to the guy for succeeding in that respect!
Karl Derrick
I'm very lukewarm on it. It doesn't have any flow as a design. Just looks like he covered it in Superglue and dipped it in the brass bits barrel. I've got a Steampunk bass in the works myself. Based on a Hofner Violin bass, because it's already 'Edwardian' looking... The main priority should be retaining it as a playing instrument or, as Pete Young said, it's a piece of hanging art.
