Prosebass
In my teens in Chorley we had Pall Mall Music a converted terraced house crammed to the ceiling with gear and run by guys with beards.....superb shop, service and gear, down the road in Coppull was a cavernous old cinema that was SAI again a cracking shop where I bought a secondhand Yamaha Combo for £230.00 in 1979 !!!!!! I think a guy called Dave Shinn had something to do with both shops..... Does anyone remember the shops......? modern shops just aren't the same. John F
The guy i bought this off was a bass player and he said this cabinet has been all over the world and he bought it brand new, but i think it has been recovered orange at some point but i will be happy if this is not the case and is original. I have carried out a lot of work on it as it was full of water and a lot of spiders and wood beetles i dryed it out for a couple of weeks cleared out the logers resprayed it black inside made new grills for the front reglued the speaker cone surround which despite the water and damp is perfectly fine and was uneffected clean as a whistle. works great sounds great and has rattled various things in the house plenty of power. I would be greatful for any info you may have on this. Regards John f
