Dave Hanebach Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Hi, I have owned a Fingerbone 4 string bass for 25 years, beutifull mahogany body, flamed maple cap, birds eye maple neck, ebony fingerboard, fretless, ebony pickup covers. Dave Hanebach Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Hi, yes the luthier was a chap called Paul Richardson, who was tragically killed in an auto accident a few years ago. Paul made fingerbone guitars and basses in the early 80's. I have only seen one other picture of a bass similar shape to mine on this basschat site. Cheers, Dave. Quote
RhysP Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 They were great quality instruments. I played a few in the early 80s, including a stunning fretless. There was a model that was quite an unusual shape, I think John Martyn used the guitar version for a while. Quote
