ras52
Following several threads which suggest that the greatness of certain bass players is not in fact universally acknowledged, it appears that something similar may be true of albums.... No lust in Jazz
Dunno about 'Best' anything but, my favourite album of 2015 is The Silver Globe - Jane Weaver.* *Which is possibly 2014 release, but I only became aware of it this year Other stuff that I've enjoyed this year was released while I was still at school Edited December 10, 2015 by No lust in Jazz
toneknob
I'm trying really hard to think of something that both came out in 2015 and I bought in the same year. And I like more than most other things.
Annoying Twit
I know it wasn't popular after the LwJH performance, but I think Dave Gilmour's new album is one of the best things he's done. New Order without Hooky? Yep, that works.
Luulox
My favourite new release was Du blonde 'welcome back to milk'. Little hidden gem of an album

Lw.
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes - Blossom Kadavar - Berlin Both great albums I bought that were released this year, neither of which appear on too many best of 2015 lists, which is a shame I think. LayDownThaFunk
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes - Blossom Kadavar - Berlin Both great albums I bought that were released this year, neither of which appear on too many best of 2015 lists, which is a shame I think.
Blossom to me is Orchestra of Wolves just produced a little better. Not as good though. That's the Spirit - Bring Me The Horizon Freedom - Refused New Bermuda - Deafheaven To Pimp a Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar If you're reading this it's too late - Drake Love Story - Yelawolf
Mcgiver69
Jon Gomm's - "Live in the acoustic asylum" and "Secrets nobody keeps" Truly beautiful and inspiring.
Woodinblack
Agree about Secrets nobody keeps. Wolf Alice, my love is cool. Also liked spocks beard, The oblivion particle, Not their best album but good most of the albums I bought this year weren't made this year. Graham
Thanks to Spotify, I've actually heard a bunch of new albums this year, last couple of years I've not actually made it to 10 I think this is my top ten, pretty set on Caina as my record of th year, everything else tends to move about a bit. 1. Caina - Setter Of Unseen Snares 2. A Forest Of Stars - Beware The Sword You Cannot See 3. Deafheaven - New Bermuda 4. Witchsorrow - No Light, Only Fire 5. Frank Turner - Positive Songs For Negative People 6. Faith No More - Sol Invictus 7. The Antichrist Imperium - The Antichrist Imperium 8. Panopticon - Autumn Eternal 9. Dragged Into Sunlight and Gnaw Their Tongues - N.V. 10. SikTh - Opacities Must buy the new Clutch as the scoundrels haven't put it on Spotify

For me the self titled debut from Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, recommend by a friend as "I think you'll like these". Almost played it daily since they told me! Chris Stapletons debut is worth a mention too.

jacko
rickie lee jones. 'The other side of desire' . Her best album for quite a while.
Clarebear68
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase. ... It was just about the only thing I listened to for the month after it was released.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
I got my first album of 2015 on Tuesday ..Till Linderman 'skills and pills." . Not bass related in any way. It's pure filth, and each song is parental advisory etc. Very funny, and brilliant. Till linderman is the vocalist of rammstein, and the material would fit on any rammstein album despite it being sung in English and not German;)
paul_5
I've bought a few albums this year - none of which were released this year. The closest is Primus' 'Wonka' album, and that was October 2014.
