i'll be honest i had not heard of him before, but i like his groove, he holds they rhythm but has his own groove without "aimlessly noodling", compliments the music right nice.

Jimmy Blanton was definitely all that. He was only a young kid but he was the first known bass player to stretch out from what was expected of us. He was really thinking outside of the box in his time.
He unlocked the door that Scott Lafaro opened before Jaco booted it off it's hinges.
