UglyDog
I don't want Marcus Miller all over the headstock of a bass. lovely bass though.

Whats wrong with just having the Sire logo on it?

And while we are at it... that bath chain logo.
This is your friend [Img]http://static.axminster.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/0/7/076014_xl.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
An improvement would be to put decent looking tuning keys on it first. I mean cheap is fine at this price point but do they have to be so fugly?
Easily replaced, even with adding Hipshots you've still got a cheap bass but now the hardware is faultless. That's what I did and it's pretty much perfect now. If the cloverleaves are the problem, use Y keys instead.
UglyDog
Fantastic basses. Tried one out a few weeks back at The Gallery and it was more than a match for any of the other high-end Jazzes they had there in terms of tone and feel.
Agreed. The only J I've tried that was better was a Celinder that cost 10 times as much.
Coldflows
Any news on the P bass then? I'm waiting with baited breath!
I asked Sire about a P bass a while back. They said they'd be doing one, but that's all they'd say. No time line, specs, etc.
TrevorR
The day they match the rosewood neck with the ash body I'm "in"... Like a rocket!
revaj
I really fancy a 4 string fretless but they only seem to do them in natural wood, white scratch plate and maple neck, which looks so bland! MrWalker
If the only complaint about the bass is the headstock... It's a great instrument at the price point. What else could we ask for, really? So, how does it matter that Marcus has his name on it... We play bass, don't we? Not pose with them? Ken Smith was a successful musician too, at one point, now he's more recognized for his basses... How's that any different? And personally, I play a Smith and a Sire MM bass. :-)
