Hi, Pelle here from Sweden.

I teach electric bass in a music school half time, and the other half, music in a public school.
I play the bass in my band DSH5 and we released our debut album april 2015.

Here's a video clip from Örebro with my band when we played on a festival called Live At Heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcI3-Q3i9nI
The lyrics is in Swedish  , but can fun to hear anyway...

My gear is a Squier JV Precision-83 and a Fender Precision-79. I run them trough an Orange AD200B mk3 and OBC410. Sounds amazing!
I have a couple of pedals too, a Wren & Cuff that's always on, MXR Octave Deluxe, Boss Flanger and Boss Line selector to run the Moog Little Patty Tribute.
At work, a have a fantastic AVRI Precision-63 sonic blue.

I have been reading a lot of threads and this forum seems to be a nice place to hang around in.

Sorry for my poor english...

Cheers!

Hey Pelle

Welcome...why don't you use EBS?? Made in Sweden...

Have you ever played an Orange? That's why... ;)

I like EBS's pedals but I don't like the amps. Too clean even with distortion.

Hi Pelle,

Orebro looks like it is in the middle of nowhere! Used to love visiting your country for work, mainly Malmo, but I did get to Gothenburg once.

Plenty of rugby fans on here, but you may be the first Swede to list it as an interest!!

Welcome to the forum,
Mike

Hi Pelle

My ears/eyes pricked up when I saw your location. Years ago (maybe 15-20) I spent 10 days in Orebro at the College on an exchange with some of the Lecturers there. Can't remember their names but they played a gig for us, one was a good guitarist. I worked in a College in Leeds, Yorkshire at that time. I remember Orebro being a lovely city with a large castle surrounded by a lake?
Welcome to Basschat

Thank you everyone!

We teach english from third grade, so almost everyone can write or speak ok english.

It's hard to express everything, but i'm learning. To hang around here is a good way to learn more.

Örebro is a small town right above the two largest lakes in Sweden. And yes, there is a great castle in the center of the city that was built circa 1300, but it's not in the middle of a lake. It's a small river floating between called Svartån (Black river).

I was born in Malmö so I know Ystad very well. I spend almost every summer around the south part of Sweden. Very beautiful.

Välkommen, Pelle! Hoppast du gillar det här.

Obligatory attempt at Swedish:
Pelle, vet du vad?
Hoppas att du inte kyssar hon där Stine. Då blir jag verkligen avundsjuk!
Du måste älska bara mig och Båtsmann!

Ah! Saltkråkan ftw!

Bob Hund had a show in Örebro for about 20 years ago. One of the best performances I've seen.

Here's my new bass. A Custom Shop Precision 58 Heavy Relic. Too bad I had to sell the Orange rig to afford the bass, but at least I don't need to carry it...

One of my great (non-bass playing) heroes came from Örebro - the legendary Ronnie Peterson.

The greatest!

I live in the same area as Ronnie.
Have you seen the statue?
