Guest BassKS
hey guys anyone tried using exp pedal with the SYB5? I recently purchased one and thought id get myself a Boss FV500L so that i can use it as a volume pedal as well as an expression as id see fit. There definitely is a difference when i plug it in but very subtle. My idea was to actually change the pulsating rate on say sounds 3 and 5. and of course make some nasty frequency sweeps (on the HOLD mode) while playing bass on dry. Any idea? Where did i go wrong? Thanks
dudewheresmybass
i used to use mine with an expression pedal. it totally transforms this pedal IMO. i could coax all sorts of cool sounds from this thing. I found the best modes to use w/ exp were 10 and 11 IIRC. add an octave, and i pretty much nailed the sound from deeper underground too a highly underrated pedal again IMO
Guest BassKS
thats awesome.... What exp pedal did you use? I used a moog one (bog standard exp) and Vol/expression pedal (BOSS FV500L) which is supposed to be a direct substitute for the recommended EV-5. Guest BassKS
and I got very little change... I was hoping it would be a bit more in your face. The sweeps are subtle.....
