jonnythenotes
I have a Musicman Sabre finished in black with gold metal flake / sparkle paint. It has an orange tortoiseshell scratchplate, and a bound neck and headstock. Serial number is C002138, and it is totally original, with everything still as it left the factory, and all switches, pups etc still working perfectly. Any ideas of its history, or are there any others with a bound neck and headstock out there... As usual, thanks in advance for any help or advice you can throw in my direction... Subbeh
There's a long running thread on the Musicman boards, post the serial there and they'll give you some info. Usually very quick about it. Would love to see a pic, the bass sounds lovely!
dlloyd
Bound neck is unusual... let's see a photo! The serial number points to 1979 http://www.musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0011.htm
