Woodinblack
I have had a TC BG250-112 for the past year (i just looked at the receipt, 5 days over a year!) and in that time I have done 25 gigs and and a load of practices with no issues, thrown in the back of a car, dumped on stage, faultless. Last night I was going to a non band thing, where another group a friend wants to set up had got together with a new guitarist. The amp started distorting, but I was going through a Roland GR55, so I thought it was that. Went through the normal output, still the same. Went around the GK pickup, still distorting at a really low level (clipping on about 3), so then I took my bass attack (which is my always pedal) out, and it seemed to clear up. But the sound was really quiet and dull. OK, it was my P Bass, which I don't use much any more, but it isn't that dull sounding and the volume was turned up to the level the knobs would be if I was playing in a room with 50 people in, and it was quiet. Then I used the second toneprint and it was massively loud at virtually nothing, with a lot of hiss. Anyway, got through it and came home. Tonight I tried it, it wasn't the bass, it was all basses, but it was crackling and toneprint two was so loud it was unusable. I thought it was broken, but thought I would try putting a new toneprint in. I loaded just one of the crunch ones, and as soon as it went in, the buzzing stopped, the toneprint was a normal volume and there was no crackling on the amp again. I played for another hour and it is doing nothing wrong. I did do a firmware update a few weeks ago, but it was working after that. A bit concerned it could do it again, although it hasn't in the last year.
cytania
The tone print uploads a series of parameters into a memory in the amp and I'd say these corrupted. Might be worth getting the phone app do you can do a quick restore if it happens again.
