Guest BassKS
Hey guys, I might have had a moronic moment when I tried to use a Moogerfooger expression pedal (a bog standard without the minimum vol knob) on the newly acquired Boss-syb5. This didnt do the trick... So i got a vol/exp pedal (Boss FV500L) to hopefully achieve what I wanted. So got that too, but not a chance very little happens. In fact, what it tends to do to the sound is completely inactivate, say, the LFO on setting 3 which is supposed to be a pulse thing with the EXP pedal controlling the rate.... Any good people out there that can put me out of my misery?
Kev
using the moog expression pedal would not have damaged the syb5, i dont know much about what type of pedal it needs, but id suggest either you have the wrong one, or the unit was already possible faulty
Guest BassKS
hmmmm, Well the pedal is actually boss FV500L which is an exp/vol pedal suitable for use in place of the recommended Roland EV-5. Theyre made from the same company. As for a faulty unit...well its preactically brand new and it responds but ever so slightly... I suppose the internal pot of the expression input might have gone. Im thinking about sending it for a service....
