Happy Jack
Judging from what I've seen here on Basschat, this would be the bastard lovechild of a Maruszczyk and a Limelight, retro-fitted with an ACG preamp. This year, Jazz basses are apparently much cooler than Precisions, but 4-string basses are clearly still on top. Not too sure about the colour ... diseased trees remain strangely popular. At least that spares us the annual debate as to whether a pickguard should be none-more-black or tort.
ead
Jazz basses have always cooler than Precisions. OK, OK, just kidding No I'm not......
ikay
Funny you should say that ... ead
Surely the perfect bass there.
EliasMooseblaster
That is lovely...I'd normally make a facetious comment about routing the front pickup slot to take a Precision split coil, but then reading Jack's criteria, it occurred to me that my only acquisition this year was a fretless Jazz. (Fender, mind you, not one of these trendy names I can't pronounce!)

If a was a 'normal' standard-scale player, I'd agree but being of the 'shorty' persuasion for me the perfect bass of 2015 is the Fender Rascal I got in July (pictured below with its room-mates). cocco
I wonder what the most purchased brand has been on BC this year. I've bought new from Ibanez and Maruszczyk, and second hand Laney and Markbass.

Ghost_Bass
Nope! Still no Jazz for me this year. I bought two PJ's to join my HH and today i've placed an order for a Uke bass. If i buy a Jazz in 2016 it'll be the 2015 revelation bass (IMO), the Sire Marcus Miller V7. Now that's a proper J at a sensible price! Schnozzalee
For me it's probably the G&L LB-100, but I've not played a Maruszczyk (or however it's spelt) and I'm intrigued.
ikay
Speaking of G&L, my revelation of the year was dropping an MFD into a Squier Matt Freeman, a sort of poor man's L1000. It easily holds it's own against my other (much more expensive) basses Edited December 23, 2015 by ikay
kodiakblair
Perfect bass for me 2015 is the Super-P from Retrovibe. Split P,MM and with the mini switch option SC bridge. Oh and it has a torty scratchplate
EBS_freak
We've all had the perfect bass for years (won't mention which) - it's just everybody else wildly buying whatever is in vogue that is screwing the stats.

discreet
Yes Jazz basses are cool... but every time I buy one, the bloody nut width is too narrow. What's that comment about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result being a sign of insanity..? Wibble. Bwa-ha-ha. Spoon. Herring.
