2x18
Lovely Musician Bass from June 1982 ---It has been Nicely stripped ( Originally White ) and has had many coats of Tru Oil applied and looks great! When I got it it had a cheap and nasty Musicman style pickup fitted in the neck position and the guy didn’t have the original Ibanez one so I have installed a genuine Gibson Thunderbird Pickup which sounds fantastic and blends well with the existing bridge pickup! The original active circuit has now been checked over and reinstalled correctly and works great! Passive mode works perfectly too. As you probably know these are not lightweight basses but this one is a comfortable 4.7 kg and balances really nicely. Comes fitted with Straplocks and a nice “ Comfort “ Strap Only other parts I have changed are the 3 Eq knobs for ones very similar to the original —The other 3 are the original Ibanez Sure Grip ones! Comes with a decent Hard/Soft case! Plays and sounds fantastic — a real Classy Bass! You are more than welcome to come and try it for yourself — No obligation! I have put a lot of time and money in to this Bass so would be looking for £350.00 Collected from Leeds ---May Trade for a Nice Jazz with Slim Neck with block markers or an interesting Short scale! Edited January 8, 2016 by 2x18

2x18
Hi Jim Its a lovely Bass and I have enjoyed restoring it -- The Active circuit took some figuring out but is now working perfectly! Plays superbly and sounds awesome -- Pity its not a short scale otherwise it would not be going anywhere but I struggle these days unless its a short scale or very slim neck! Seasons greetings to one and all Will.

Bassman Rich
FYI I bought a 'polar white' one of these from Scheerers in Leeds in 1982, £428 with a non original case. God knows what £428 would be in todays money, but a pint was about 70p IIRC then !!! My first 'proper' bass, and served me well for ages, (still got it too). Nice bases and much underrated. Good luck with the sale.
julesb
Bargain! Not so fashionable these days but Jools' hootenany bass player (Dave Swift?) played one on this years show...
