Any one got any tips for primus tommy the cat, I can't seem to make it sound right I've got the official music book and tried some of the other versions but can't get it!

As far as I'm aware he plays it on a fretless. That could be a large factor.

In what way does it not sound right? The notes? The tone?

When I was much younger and more dextrous, I could play it (sort of) and I started by (sort of) mastering the version on "Suck on This" which is much slower and simpler. Probably not much help, but it might help to master the weird muting Mr. C. goes in for.

thanks for that ill look tit on suck on this , I think its the rhythm that's getting me might try slowing down a bit.

Try another song not the easiest of songs to learn.

your right about that ,now and then I get a song I just cant "get" still give me something to work on over xmas.

Yeah, he's an annoying little stoat, the sound is crap and so is the camera angle, but he gets close to it round about the 5.55 min mark...
