pete.young
You are pretty much stuck with the Roland lead unless you want to build one yourself. I never had a lead fail but they are more flimsy than instrument leads and need to be looked after.
Kevin Dean
a couple of times at band practice it just didn't work until I wobbled the connection a bit ,I might try a bit of switch cleaner on the pins .
andybassdoyle
Sold my 55 now but you can get some decent replacement leads from the US on ebay at a fraction of the price. Not sure if your issue is the lead or connection though....
SimonH
I've had the same thing with a guitar version - signal was breaking up. I bought a stupidly long non-Roland replacement from ebay and it's fine (expensive tho). Got it from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roland-GKC-5-Guitar-Synth-Cable-gkc5-5m-13-pin-conectors-New-/331744173572?hash=item4d3d7e5e04
