colgraff
When I was young, I could play at thrash speed but I couldn't headbang and play at the same time without falling over.
rushbo
Glam. To sum up: Glam.
RhysP
Ideally neither but at a push, Thrash. Apart from The Sweet who I liked.

Cosmo Valdemar
Too vague. I might plump for Glam, expecting Slade and Sweet etc., only to end up with some horror like Poison or Steel Panther...
Doctor J
I was a thrash orientated youth. In hindsight, it's clear that glam had a fancier caliber of female so now I have my regrets. I'll happily listen to both these days.
Naetharu
Humm, I'm going to sound stupid here but what exactly would count as 'Thrash' - I know its a sub-genera of metal but I've no idea which bands we'd be talking about here. Anyhow, probably glam for me as I like a nice bit of melody more than noisy hi-gain stuff most of the time.
Fitzy73
Thrash its why I took up the bass.
The first rule of thrash is that it died in 1992 and nothing recorded thereafter qualifies, even if it does mimic the blueprint. There were some fine UK thrash bands back in the day - Acid Reign, Xentrix, Sabbat, D.A.M., Re-Animator, Slammer, Onslaught, Toranaga and more. Check them out, they're well worth hearing. Thrash was more than just the US bands who get bandied around all the time. Edited December 23, 2015 by Doctor J
Yup, bit of a time expiration on those genres.62 years old, no glam left. 62 years old, only involuntary thrashing. Blue

Glam, it's still around I guess. We had it here in the States and you guys had it, you might have even started it (Bowie/Bolen. Was never sure on how much mass appeal it had. I always liked The NY Dolls. Blue Edited December 23, 2015 by blue
KingBollock
If we're talking 80s hair metal type glam, then I'd struggle to pick, but I would probably still end up at thrash.
