Josh
Thrash, every time. Whilst I respect some aspects of Glam metal, the aggression and speed of thrash will always be far more appealing, and soothing.
Schnozzalee
Glam Rock or Glam Metal for me - Thrash is bland.
drTStingray
Glam please. Can't beat a bit of Tiger Feet or Lonely this Christmas. Thrash is nice but the singing always makes me think of an individual football fan straining to be heard amongst a crowd of 40000 (maybe I'm in the wrong genre??!!) Behlmene
Glam if forced a choice. Much more emphasis on melody.
Fisheth
Thrash for sure, Nuclear Assaults Handle With Care changed the way I viewed bass tonality. Superb album for sure.
BigRedX
Glam most definitely - preferably early to mid 70s

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Forgot to mention my choice Thrash! Growing up, I used to like some of the glammy stuff. I was way too young to go to gigs tho'. However , bands like sabbath were more or less at their peak then . Fast forward to the mid '80s and as well as buying the albums , the thrash gigs were amazing. Plus , I saw them when the bands were hungry / angry and at their prime etc. Edited December 24, 2015 by RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
interpol52
Thrash - first four Metallica albums, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, Annihalator, Destruction, Kreator, Onslaught, The Haunted, early Sepultura
These are thrash to me. When I think of glam I think of Poison and 80s hair metal. It wasn't for me.

Roger2611
Glam for me was New York Dolls, Bowie, Sweet etc. Bands like Motley Crew were glam metal then Lords of The New Church were sort of Glam Goth. An earlier post mentioned Slammer as a thrash band, I worked doing sound for a band called Metal Messiah back at the time they supported Slammer on a couple of occasions Sheffield Uni was a gig I remember especially well
