itsmedunc
Truss rod access at the head on a 2003? I thought the Elites and Plus had access at the head but nothing else does? I don't like the way part of the 3 on the serial is missing either. It all just looks a bit off? The guy has loads of positive feedback though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-Bass-2003-American-/281883343220?hash=item41a18e7974:g:EMUAAOSwp5JWbFSC
AndyTravis
Doesn't look 100% to me, and at that price there are a few for sale on here which look better and aren't refinished. Looks like it could be a mexi precision with a USA logo/serial number. Not convinced by that at all.
2x18
Looks like a Highway 1 or USA Special that has been refinished!
AndyTravis
Oh yeah, mk1 highway one, 2003 is about right for that series too. Refinish, pickguard and badass are non original.

AndyTravis
The mk2 highways had a badass but body end adjustment truss, as do the American specials. The first lot of highway ones had this truss rod access. It's too much money anyhow.
2x18
The early Highway 1 Had truss rod access at head --after 2006 it was at the body end! -- Its not a Special sorry but there was another model USA with Truss rod access at headstock -- can't remember its title! Will.
itsmedunc
Ah! Its all coming together. So, will the neck on the early models have graphite rods?
2x18
No graphite rods until 2006 -- The USA bass I was trying to remember was called the USA traditional series and I think they were the predecessor to the First Highway 1 Will

cameltoe
Yeah it's not an American Special, they didn't come out until a couple of years ago! I would bet at a Highway 1, especially with the badass. The thin nitro finish was designed to wear very easy so this may explain the refin. I guess the serial no. would put it to bed? Lozz196
Yeah I reckon Highway 1 - all the features seem to fit. Not exactly incorrect listing, it is USA but. Priced too high imo, you can get regular USA ones for that at times.
Kev
Clever. He isn't lying, this is a USA made bass, just not a USA Standard series. Seems to be a Highway one, refinish looks pants IMO too!

Delberthot
Those look like the same tuners that my MIM Seafoam Green Precision had

Tort is quite wrong with it too, of course.
