Iheartreverb
Hi guys, I have an Orange bass terror which has the very common hot DI problem. What do you guys think is he gets way of getting around this? Is there some sort of DI in/ DI out attenuator to simply bring the volume down? Any help or advice appreciated! Lozz196
This is a thread from a few years back, looks like the 40db attenuator from DStudio Spares works quite well: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/72133-orange-terror-bass-di/
doomed
^^ This, it's very good for not a lot of money and you won't even know you're carrying it.
lollington
I use the above with a small length of XLR to tidy things up a bit otherwise the thing sticks out like a sore thumb. I bought an attenuator after I got a poor sound this one time from an inexperienced engineer. Every gig since I've told the sound guy about the hot output and things sound great - never had to use the attenuator but handy to pack in the case.
